Game one was a loser’s bracket semi-final with Doniphan Co. defeating Hiawatha
11-5, ending Post 66’s season.
The first three Hiawatha (12-13) hitters reached and scored against Derek Nold in
the top of the first, but were then shutout until the seventh inning.

for six runs on five hits.
Taylor Olsen took the loss, allowing six runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings.
Derek Nold earned the victory, pitching the complete game, allowing four earned
runs on seven hits.
The Subway Player of the Game was Doniphan Co.’s Paden Halter, who reached

Seneca’s Derek Rottinghaus stole the show in game two, dizzying the Sabetha
hitters to the tune of 12 strikeouts in a complete game victory.
Rottinghaus was the easy choice for Subway Player of the Game as he threw just
19 balls out of 82 total pitches and allowed only one hit, a single by Riley Wells in the
third inning.
He retired his last 15 hitters, including striking out the final three on just nine
pitches. Offensively, he scored two runs.
