Coverage of the Twin Valley League Tournament on KMZA began Monday, January 18, with second round action, and the following area athletes were the "Players to Bank On".
Frankfort Lady Wildcats defeated the Blue Valley Lady Rams 49-35
Erica Dwerlkote (5‘7, senior) led the Lady Wildcats with 16 points and wreaked havoc defensively the entire night. She is always providing great energy and does a little bit of everything for coach Bruce Gunter.
Frankfort Wildcats defeated Centralia Panthers 50-40 (OT)
Vince Studer (5‘10, senior) came into the game averaging 2 points per game and finished with 8, all coming after halftime. With his teammates struggling, he made a pair of threes late in regulation that helped propel the Wildcats to overtime.
Centralia Lady Panthers defeated Onaga Lady Buffaloes 40-36
Alex Cross (5‘10, senior) kept Centralia in the game during the first half, scoring 9 of their 17 points. She finished with a team high 15 and helped seal the victory by going 4-4 from the free throw line in the second half.
